Last night we went out to eat and it was one of the first times that the kids were AMAZINGLY behaved. They both chowed down on their pizza and sat in their chairs like good little kids. This 2 kids thing is definitely getting easier as they get older.
They have been so sweet to each other lately. When Cole gets out of the car for school he always says, "Bye Sissy!" and Shelby says, "Bye, I love you!" and Cole says, "Love you!" They ask each other for help and say please and thank you. They have even been sharing toys without being asked to.
Shelby is SO interested in throwing and catching and hitting a softball off the tee these days and she's GOOD at it. She also loves to play soccer.
Cole is still obsessed with trains and he usually whines to wear his "TRAIN PJs" every night. When I let him wear undies around the house he won't put on any of the plain ones. "NO I WANT THOMAS UNDIES!!!" So I told him he better not pee on Thomas but of course he did anyway. :)
Spring Break starts at 4pm today and I can't wait! Uncle TyTy is coming into town from Texas Tech and we haven't seen him since he left in January! Quite a difference from coming home every weekend at UTD. He must like it out there or something ;) We are having chili at my house and plan to crank out some SingStar and lots of playing with the kids. They can't wait to see Tyty!
Tomorrow I have a date with some girlfriends for manis, pedis and lunch. Then I hope to see the new house that Millie and Luke really like (they are house searching) in Dallas, then an early dinner with everyone including Nana and Papa G...they are in town for a Glen Miller thing at the Meyerson on Sunday afternoon.
Sunday we're heading out to a state park to camp for 2 nights. Jeff is off Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week will be full of shopping for wedding stuff and also a trip to the zoo with Susan and Jessica.
Hopefully I'll actually bust out the camera because I have been majorly slacking lately. I dont' think I've taken one picture this week since we got back from our camping trip.

Friday Fill-ins!

And...here we go!
1. When I look to the left, I see my messy desk with my zune and my coffee cup.
2. The kitchen with lots of windows to the backyard is the room that has the best view in my home.
3. Let it work all day and party all night.
4. Almost everything can be done dirt cheap!
5. Responsibility for their own choices and actions is a responsibility that all qualified citizens must share.
6. If you have any extra time feel free to come clean my house.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing my entire family including TyTy and meeting Anna's boyfriend finally, tomorrow my plans include manis, pedis, and lunch with girlfriends! then dinner with my Nana and Sunday, I want to head out for camping!

Shelbyism
We were sitting at the table for dinner tonight and the dogs were roaming around on the floor hoping for a scrap. Shelby yells, "The dogs are freaking us out Mommy!"
For the second time tonight Mary was up on a high surface where she shouldn't be, eating off of one of our plates. I put her in her crate and said, "That is a BAD DOG!" Shelby in this sweet little voice said, "She is not a bad dog mommy, she just made a very bad choice."

Just Between Friends
I participated in the Just Between Friends consignment sale this past week in NRH. I did so well! I prepared and tagged 67 items, and all but 6 things sold! I did a lot of clothes and I only had 2 clothing items that didn't sell. (Shoutout to Kelly for sharing her prep and pricing secrets with me!) I sold 4 pairs of shoes, some toys, numerous clothes, a crib mattress and some other baby gear, and a stroller. They mark things down on the last day but 90% of my stuff sold for full price. The best part....I made $298!!! I am so happy with the results... The tagging didn't take me TOO long and was definitely worth $300. I'm a believer now. :) Can't wait till the fall sale!

The Viking's Maiden Voyage
Friday evening we headed out for the maiden voyage in our new camper to nearby Pilot Knoll on Lake Lewisville.
After driving through Grapevine and Coppell and Highland Village in Friday after-work traffic, we finally pulled in and hooked up.
I didn't pull the camera out on Friday night- My parents were there, and Millie and Luke came to cook out and eat too. We had burgers and beans and PERFECT weather.
Our first night sleeping in the pop-up was great. We kept all the canvas open and the breeze through the screens was perfect. Just right to give you a little chill and then when you pull up the quilt you are just so cozy. The beds were totally comfy which was a relief!
Saturday morning we woke up with a little finch birdie IN our camper. Have no idea how it got there because everything seems to be sealed...but I totally freaked even though it was hopping around on mom and dad on the other side of the camper. I was cracking up because mom dad and I all just pulled the covers up over our faces as I demanded that Jeff get up and get it outta there! I don't do birds.
The weather on Saturday continued to be perfect. It was overcast and not TOO breezy.
Our spots were right on the water...this is the view as I walked down from our spot to the water.
Remember how the kids love throwing rocks in the water? Well they still do!

The 2 little buddies, Bryson and Cole. These 2 are SO cute and they do NOT fight over toys and being in charge like you normally see kids this age do. They are pretty good at sharing and actually playing together. Cole woke up both mornings and the first thing out of his mouth was "Want play with Brady Bryson!!!"
This morning (Sunday) Kylie brought Bryson over into our camper saying that he was throwing a fit wanting to see Cole. Too cute.

Saturday morning the Daddies took all 4 kids on a little boat ride.

Quite a handful!! Each kid took a turn driving...so cool! :)

This was just laying out on the rocky shore...

Heading back in...

Daddy and lil' Buddy.

Poppy and Nonnie.

The 2 little rascals.

See Cole peeking through the camper? The kids Loved playing in it. Brady pretended it was a train and he was the conductor. Brady is a "Thomas the Train" genius.

Jeff took some shots of our set-up while the kids and I were napping.

Saturday night the ice cream truck drove through. It was very exciting!

It was just before dinner but we couldn't say no. We were on "vacation." :)

The kids looking up at the ice cream lady:

Cole REALLY enjoyed his.

All done! Now it's time for dinner, haha!

Later that night I busted out the (washable) markers in our camper. I was supervising for about 30 minutes then I asked Jeff to take over so I could do something.
5 minutes later....

What a mess! Daddies!!!
Saturday night the weather was just as perfect. We were still "in" the city but you wouldn't believe how quiet it was out there! The only thing reminding us that we were close to home were the planes taking off and landing overhead.
Sunday morning...back to the water.

My new fav...MGD 64, 1 point!!!

Despite what a mess he is, Cole hates getting his hands dirty. He ran up to me whining, "Cole need wash hands!!!!"

The mommas

Bryson and Cole

Me and Daddy Blue Eyes.

Little missy with her plate of dandelions

Daddy's girl...

Cole holding on for dear life...

Love this look on her face...what is she thinking about??? :)

Bryson and Cole coloring together

Shelby and Brady worked several puzzles (this is in the Reising's trailer)

Good food! The last supper...

We had such a great time and actually LOVED being close to home because we were home in about 45 minutes and had the day to do laundry and get ready for the week. The pop-up was perfect and I love it SO much! Kylie and Sean's little boys are such sweeties and it really is amazing how well all 4 of the kids play together. We look forward to many more weekends like this!

Just a few pics from the weekend
We have been so busy! The house is a mess, there's tons on my to-do list...but updating the blog is one!
Playing on an "S" day...

Check out little Miss Priss. She gets herself all dressed up. Gloves, pink tights, and high heels!!!

Little Buddy's favorite place is OUTSIDE! He finally opens the door instead of crawling through the doggy door! :)

Check out the "CAR SHOES" aka batman shoes. He insisted on wearing them ALlllll weekend. Maybe he won't throw them out the window!

Hope you're having a great week!

Sunday musings
Today has been full of cleaning out and cleaning up! I have spent a lot of the day going through stacks and bags and other crap, but even more of the day getting my consignment stuff ready for the Just Between Friends sale this week. Our stuff for sale adds up to a good amount of money, I'll post how we did when the sale is over. I am anxious to see whether or not all this prep work is worth it. I'm hoping to make at least $200. Hopefully more!
We found a pop-up (tent trailer) this weekend and can NOT wait to use it! Hopefully we will be picking it up tomorrow, and Jeff already wants to do a camping trip this coming weekend. I'm up for it!!! It's a brand new (2008) model with a fridge, stove, awning, a/c, heater, lots of storage, and more, and I just know we're going to LOVE it...the kids will love it most of all.
On the diet front, I ALMOST hit 10 lbs this week. Total loss since the new year is 9.8 lbs. I am feeling better and am committed to losing another 10 in the next 2-3 months. Gotta look good in my sis's wedding in August! :)
