4 generations

And for nostalgia, same picture with Shelby:

I think in these pictures, Mimi’s the only one who hasn’t changed a bit!!

More Christmas

A few days after Christmas, Gram, Grandpa, and Matthew came down to celebrate.

We grabbed a picture of all the cousins…

..before we realized that one was missing!  There, that’s better.

Shelby got some bedding for her new American Girl doll bed.  Funny, none of her stuff (including the dolls) is actually “American Girl,” but we still call it that.  Whatev.

Gram brought roast, carrots and potatoes and it was to die for!  I hardly took any pictures but we just enjoyed a little family day, where Matthew and Grandpa got to meet Molly for the first time.  Grandpa was feeling a little sick so he didn’t get to hold her, but big cousin Matthew did:

Shelby and Coleman sure do love their one and only cousin!!

Christmas Day 2012

Molly’s First Christmas!  I bought this little newborn-sized outfit at a consignment sale back in August, hoping we’d get to use it.  It says “My First Christmas”

We woke up on Christmas morning to find that Santa had indeed stopped by.

Molly and I watched.  (We used my new glider from my parents as if it were a mobile chair during these first few days, moving it all around the living room wherever I wanted to be)

and soon, the rest of the family was there too.

We celebrated Jesus’s birth with a few gifts for each other and a very yummy breakfast that Nonnie brought over.  Sausage balls, pigs in blankets, fruit salad…YUM!
Millie and Luke headed to Oklahoma after this and the others headed home because I had a busy day planned:

Ha!  It was a perfect, veg-out, relaxing, SNOWY, 4 days after giving birth, nappy kind of Christmas day!  The kids got to spend time on their new Kindle Fires from Nonnie and Poppy.

Coleman experienced some Christmas snow.

Christmas is my favorite holiday, and even though this one was different with a 4 day old baby, it did not disappoint.  Can’t wait til next year when Molly will be (possibly) toddling around pulling down ornaments from the tree!!

A Morning Photo Shoot

I couldn’t pick just a couple.  She has so many faces!  So I am putting every picture in order that I took them- it’s fun to try to read her thoughts :)

What a wonderful thing to wake up to every morning!!!

We don’t wear bows often.  She does not particularly love them! :)

Christmas Eve

We came home from the hospital on December 23rd.  The next day was Christmas Eve.  What a whirlwind!  Some of the family went to the Christmas Eve service at church.  Afterwards, the whole family headed over to our house and brought dinner (chicken noodle soup and chili!) with them.

Uncle Tyler came very festively dressed.

The kids got to open one “present” (which I had forgotten to even wrap)  … Pajamas!DSC_1173

Then we did a photo shoot with Molly in the Santa Suit we had.  This was a suit that Nana and Aunt Jan had bought years back I guess “just in case” they ever needed it.  Uncle Dane found it and mailed it to Nana for our little Christmas baby.  I hope more little fall/winter babies can wear this in the years to come! ;)

As you can imagine, I was exhausted so it was a pretty short night.  The fam headed home so that we could get ready for Santa and hit the sack.

Shelby wrote Santa a note with some fill-in-the-blank questions

Next up: Christmas Day!
