Coleman is seriously a crack-up these days. These are just a few things I wrote down- all happened on Sunday morning when he and I were the only ones up. It is always fun and interesting talking to this buddy and I wish I remembered to write stuff down more often!
First, he came into our room, crawled into our bed, and said, “Mommy, I popped my nickel!” (aka knuckle)
Then, we were sitting at the table in the kitchen trying to decide what he wanted for breakfast.
I was asking him, “Do you want cereal?” “No.”
“How bout oatmeal?” “No, no oakmeal.”
“Do you want a bar?” “CHECK!” (while drawing a check mark in the air with his pointer finger.)
“Check? What does that mean?” “It means yes.”
Then while sitting there eating his bar, he exclaimed, “Look at Mary! She's so soggy!” “She’s soggy?” “Yeah, it means she’s wet.”
Looking under the table: “Awww, that's too creepy under there!”
And one more thing he says wrong…He and Shelby are into “copying” one another, you know, because they’re siblings and they like to annoy each other. Coleman calls it “coffeeing” as in “Shelby stop COFFEEING ME!!!”
I saw him playing with his cars the other day and he was mumbling to himself, “Remember the consequences.”
