Colemanism

Sounds like Buddy is ready for his own 'isms!

Today is Monday so that's the day Jeff stays home with both the kids. Right now they are playing Hide and Seek. After Cole and Jeff count, Coleman screams, "Harry not here me come!"

Last night we took the kids out to eat. (Up in Smoke bbq, very good, btw!) I told the kids that if they were good, we could go get a snow cone after dinner. All throughout dinner Cole kept whining, "I want my pine cone!!!" I doubt he even knew what a snow/"pine" cone was, but he wanted it!!! When we finally got to the snow cone place, the drive-thru line took FOREVER and he kept screaming for his pine cone for the whole 10 minute wait. And then he devoured his "Nemo" pine cone, telling me, "I'm a messy boy Mom!!"

Shelbyism

Shelby was crying from being bonked in the nose by Cole’s head.
As Daddy was comforting her, she oh so sweetly said, “I wanna watch Tom and Jerry.” [a girl who knows how to take advantage of a sympathetic Daddy!]
Daddy said, “You’re so smooth!”
Shelby, in all seriousness, replied, “That’s because I put lotion on.”

Kidisms

Bedtime tonight.
Jeff (the comedian): I love you how big Watauga is. (Watauga is the next city over from us but Jeff is always making Watauga jokes.)
S: I love you how big Louisiana is.
J: Wow that's pretty big.
S: Daddy I love you how big India is. India has elephants and nobody can take them away.

Lately Cole says "GUYS!" at the end of every phrase:
"My will come back guys!!!"
"Hey guys!!! Look at that castle!!!" [big building]


This is a weird one but must be documented. One time I wrote about how he got mad at me calling one of his feet "doo doo foot" and said "NO THIS MY DOO DOO FOOT!!!" Well now he insists (and remembers) that his RIGHT foot is his DOO DOO FOOT and his left foot is his PEE PEE FOOT. Any time you ask him he knows which is which. Weirdo! So if you hear me putting his shoes on and saying, "Give me your peepee foot"...I know it sounds weird but I'm just speaking his language!! ;)

One morning he was just so fussy and kept whining and crying. I asked him what was wrong and he said, "My a whiney boy Mommy! Just a whiney boy!!!"

ANY "Why" question you ask him is answered with "BUH-cause Mommy!"

Other common phrases:
"My don't YIKE it!!!"
Mary = "MarYee"
When we do "the bag" Cole pretends to lay there hiding after it's over. We look for him and he pops out yelling, "My right 'dere! Here me are!!!"

Last week when Jeff cooked dinner, Shelby told him at the dinner table: "You're an excellent cook Daddy."

Birthday camping weekend

With no energy or mental capacity today, here I am again posting a bunch of pictures with just a few words to illustrate them!
We were in Purtis Creek State Park near Gun Barrel City, Texas.

Back at the campground, Cole played in his little splash pool (I thought this was much bigger when I bought it, hahaha!)

The entire time we were there, Jeff was reading the "Texas State Parks" booklet (OUTLOUD to me most of the time) and dreaming about where to go next... :)

OUCH That hurt

After being a little unrestrained on my diet for the past MONTH (a little more than a month actually) and watching the scale slowly creep up, I decided to do an official weigh in this morning and really start following the WW Points plan again. I knew it would be bad after a birthday camping weekend full of eating and DRINKING whatever I wanted...I have gained back 7 of the pounds I had lost in a mere 5 weeks!!! :( Obviously I cannot even maintain without being pretty strict with my points counting. We have New Orleans in a month and the wedding in 2 months...It is all seriousness from here on out!!!!

We love you more than the Earf! Can't wait to spend a long glorious weekend out in the heat with you ;)
