Cool October Weekend: Pumpkin Carving and Smores!

Shelby pulled out her second tooth on Saturday.  The girl is on a roll!  And we were ready for this one to come out since the permanent tooth was coming right on in behind it.  I’m told these perm. teeth will move forward, though I’m worried there’s not room for them! Sad smile

(Both kids and Mommy went to the dentist last week and we are happy to report NO CAVITIES!)

Saturday night while all the Halloween festivals were going on, we decided to “beat the crowds” and stay in for pumpkin carving and roasting marshmallows for smores.

The kids each drew their own face on their own pumpkin, and then Daddy carved them.

I thought about keeping the seeds to roast but upon seeing the bowl full of slime and remembering just how messy it is, I promptly dumped it in the trash!

Saturday night we were also dog-sitting our little canine nieces (Iris and Layla)

FINALLY it was time to roast marshmallows and enjoy some gooey smores!  The weather was PERFECT for a fire on the patio.
