October
Smart phones are a blessing and a curse. Mostly a blessing I think! On one hand, I don’t have many great, printable pictures because I snap pics with a phone and don’t take my camera out as much. (Though the quality is definitely enough to print some these days.) But on the other hand, I can look back at my album of phone pics in a month and remember things that made me smile (or not) …well, things that happened….for almost every day of the month!
Here is October, for example. I enjoyed going back and remembering, and that’s what this blog is for, too.
This was a day when Molly’s sitter had the day off and it was perfect because I just needed a little extra Molly time. I worked from home that day before she woke in the morning, during nap time, and after they all went to bed that night. Not something I can do everyday, but it was nice. After breakfast, we went on a bike ride to the park, just Molly and mommy. It was kind of strange to be at the park with no kids over the age of 5 there!
The kids participated in some dress up spirit days at school. I love how Coleman coordinated his long sleeves, and how Shelby didn’t care when I told her that orange and pink clash.
I love how Coleman wanted his own picture with his serious super hero stare.
Finding selfies of my beautiful girl is always fun.
And we forgot to catch this boy’s crazy hair on camera before school, but luckily it was still just as crazy after school! He ran the most laps in his grade that day, 39 laps. I was proud because he set a goal (40 laps) and never stopped to reach it. That is 4 miles that he ran in 40 minutes!
On this Friday night, we were surprised to be left with only 1 kid as both the bigs were invited out with friends. We enjoyed a meal on a patio with the fam, and my baby fell asleep in my arms!
Capturing my honey coloring with his baby. Molly was obsessed with coloring that entire weekend.
This is Bubby’s game face.
They were so excited to attend this American Ninja Warrior birthday party, and the obstacle course did not disappoint! I didn’t even get a picture of the actual zip line!
Sweet pic of my only momma and my only niece
I love this face! And big cousin helping her!
Molly was obsessed with shoes for a while. This was someone’s knee high boots.
The shoe obsession seems to already be over. Now we can’t get her to leave her own shoes on!
This is a cousin hug. It may look like something else, but it was a 1 yr old hug!
This is a sleepy bubby
Coleman loves fires. He has begged for a fire all summer, even. Finally in October, we were able to say YES! We even had smores with Nonnie and Poppy.
Molly had her first trip to the donut store one Monday when everyone was off of school and work. (Columbus day) Daddy had to concentrate on something, so while big sis slept, C, M and I went to get donuts. Molly’s was pink with sprinkles and plenty messy!
On that same day, we decorated pumpkins that the dentist gave us.
(The mess left after this was NO FUN. Just ask Jeff!)
Brother and sister at the park while Shelby was in choir.
This was after she crouched down to drink out of the dog bowl, then picked it up and dumped it all over her head. She went and got a brush for it.
And finally, even though we’re all busy, I always love sittin around and shootin the breeze with my momma and sister(s).

Yeah I Do and Braids
Molly is in her “Yeah I do” phase which we will remember forever!
It’s hard to hear her, but she says NO, NO, NO to everything until Daddy says, “Do you love milk?” “Yeah I do.”
And, her first tiny little braids!
Razorback cousins.
Sleepy sissies:
Molly Eww and ABCs
I have taught MOlly to say “Ewww!” when she sees a bug (in a book.)
Like this:
So I was trying to get her to do that again this week but instead I caught her ABC’s on camera by surprise.
Rangers
On the day before school started, we went to see the Texas Rangers. I bought the whole fam tickets, but Shelby (as expected) didn’t want to go. One of our neighbors who we met on our baseball team last season has a boy Cole’s age and 2 girls Shelby’s age. So, when we arranged for Brode to go with us and Shelby to stay with them, everyone was happy! It was Brode’s FIRST ever rangers game!
As usual, Molly was a good baseball baby and we stayed for the whole game and had lots of fun!
Last Day of Summer Vacation
On the last day of summer vacation, Shelby and Coleman came to work with Mommy for the morning. Then, we went to BJ’s for lunch and some Pizookie. Mmmm.
