Cole's colonoscopy procedure is tomorrow.
He has done well with the "no eating" today---but we decided since it was "24 hours" that he could have breakfast so he and daddy had a date at IHOP!
After that they went on a bike ride and played at the park for a LONG time. Then it was lunch...3 pop ice popsicles! After a nap, they headed to the doctor.
Now we are at Boomerang's Jump House letting them bounce it out and use up all that energy, hoping for an easy bedtime tonight.
Now all I have to do is get him to drink this Magnesium Citrate (which he is refusing in any way, shape and form) and hope that he poops. Of course, in a completely uncharacteristic fashion, he hasn't pooped at all today and only once yesterday! :( He's supposed to be all cleaned out for tomorrow.
Cole has to be at the hospital at 8:15 am and he can't have even a sip of water after 6:15 am. His procedure should be at 10:15 and should take 30 minutes, but longer if they find polyps and take them out.
Please keep our little buddy in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow morning!!!

BASEBALL!!!
This time it's not the Rangers...it's our other favorite team, DADDY's team, the Cachorros.
I had planned on having a lazy Sunday morning and staying in our PJs with the kids while Daddy went to play his baseball game. But as soon as Cole heard where he had gone, he said, "I wanna go see Daddy's baseball game!!!!" Then he hopped down off the bed, completely forgetting Handy Manny, and left the room, running back in with a pair of shoes and shorts. He said "I gotta get dressed for da baseball game!!!" How could I say no to that?
So we were off...
We got to see Daddy on the mound and he had plenty of strikeouts :) The best play was a hard hit right back at him and he threw his right arm (glove) in the air behind him in a quick reaction and came up with the ball. It was awesome!
We love how Daddy comes and sits with us in between innings!

Yes, their shirts this season are HOT PINK!!! I love making fun of that! :)

Sissy found a way to keep cool... Smart girl!!!

Not MY child! Monday
Today I am participating in MckMama's blog Carnival "Not my child! Monday" because sometimes you've just got to let it all out!!!
I did not walk into Shelby's pink room last week to find brown streaks of poo finger-painted on the walls above her headboard by her little brother, and of course I knew exactly when it happened- my kids are never ever unsupervised for more than 2 seconds at a time!
While standing in line at Kohl's behind a curvy lady with tight jeans on, my son did not point and yell, "Mommy!!! Look at her booty!!!!" and of course after I "shhhh"ed him, he didn't continue to laugh and yell "BOOTY!!! BOOTY! BOOTY!!!"
I did not take my perfect sweet little daughter to the mall to have her ears pierced as she had begged for on Saturday, only to leave with a red-streaked, tear-stained face little girl with only ONE ear pierced.
And it certainly wasn't my child who told me to "just sniff them" after I asked her if a certain pair of her panties was clean or dirty. No way, we are way more proper than that in our house!
Finally, it wasn't MY child who saw Nonnie drinking a soda at Wal-Mart, and asked her, "Why dat not beer?" Uh-uh---not him!

Update
I am mad at myself for not having the energy (brain capacity??) to blog lately! These kids are wearing me out! :)
We are in the lovely phase (that will probably last until they're 18) where they tattle on one another, bother each other, instigate fights with each other, and Shelby has this way of antagonizing Cole and WHEW! it wears us out. We are dealing with Shelby telling stories and Coleman going through the tough, testing the boundaries, defiant stage where he disobeys almost everything I say. He's spent a lot of time in time out this past week! :)
Of course they're GREAT kids but I am a stubborn mama who cannot let down because I feel like this is the most important time for setting discipline and boundaries for the rest of our lives. So yeah they're learning, and it's not easy! :)
Then of course this morning Cole just lay there and cuddled with me in our bed and just wanted to be all over me and so close to me (as my friend Jess described, it just feels like they want to crawl back inside you!) so that makes it all ok and soooo worth it!
Yesterday we had our last family cookout of the summer before Tyler heads out to Lubbock. We were all there and waiting on Millie and Luke to get there. Millie was working (on SATURDAY!) and we hadn't seen them since the wedding 2 weeks ago.
Nonnie said to Shelby, "Did you know Millie and Luke are coming???" She responded, "Do they have any babies yet?!?!" Guess she knows what the next step should be!! haha
Coming up soon:
- Sept 1 (Tuesday): Colemans colonoscopy
- Heading to Lubbock to see the Red Raiders play (and see Uncle Tyler too!!!)
- Lots of camping!!! Hopefully to Eisenhower state park with Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Becky, and Ray Roberts close to Gram and Granpa. Oh and Powderly (Pat Mayes lake) by Nana and Garland
- Matthew's birthday party- and I get to see Aunt Jen and Doug's new house!
- Hopefully Fuzzy's opening in NRH!!!
- Jeff baseball playoffs (which HE is excited about)
- Another Ranger's game on 9/15 vs. Angels
Fun times in the Peck house!!!

Bowling with the Davises!
Friday night we headed out for some yummy Mexican food followed by some high-skilled bowling. Ok well, not HIGH skilled.
But much fun and much love!

Jess with a rack.

Jason.

Jessica.

Jeff.

Me.

(that was a joke, I don't always bowl like that.)

This is just after I bowled my ball into the thing that goes down to set them down. (oops)

At the end of the evening, we came home to three sleeping beauties.
"Baby Joe" as Shelby calls him:

Coleman, "My name is Coleman but I am Buddy." (he told me that yesterday.)

And a wonderful babysitter/aunt!

Rangers vs. Twins
We were off to the Rangers game again last night. Once again Shelby chose to hang out with Nonnie instead of joining us. Cole of course really seems to love these games so he went with us.
When we first got there we were just barely past the shade line with the setting sun so we had some bright seats for the first little bit.
See?!

Aww, using Daddy's shade is better.

Cole seems to have eyes that are very sensitive to the sun!

For once, we were there before game time!
Jeff got his homemade score pad all ready.

We had almost our whole row to ourselves so Cole took advantage of checking out all the seats.

If you actually know what this score card means, you might wonder about the heart. That was Jeff's way of noting Kevin Richardson's FIRST EVER MAJOR LEAGUE hit :)

Cole found a friend to play with for the last couple of innings.

It was a great game, and our Rangers won! We actually stayed the whole (long) game and Coleman was great. He was asleep as soon as we got in the car. :)
"Yet's Go Rangers!!!!"

A Girly Girl party
Shelby had a birthday party to go to on Saturday morning.
First, she happily made the card say, "Happy Birthday ♥ Shelby"
I taught her to draw hearts a couple weeks ago, with the dots to help her. The second heart on there is her first attempt without the dots to guide her! :)

Then she wrote Ryann's name on the envelope.

This was our first "Girly Girl" party to attend. This place is located in the new Arthouse at Keller town square or whatever that place is called. :)
First the girls all get to pick out something to dress up in from their huge dressing room full of dresses, ballerina and dance wear, and accessories.
Shelby chose the yellow "Belle" dress from Beauty and the Beast.

Next they fix the girls' hair and give them a little big of (gasp!!!) make-up.

Beauty and so happy!

After the girls walked the catwalk showing off their cute selves, they posed for a group picture.

Then they all enjoyed some cake and present opening!
Finally, they all went into the "nail salon" and got their nails painted.

The 2 hours flew by and it really was a BLAST of a party!

And Shelby the photographer took a picture of me on the way home!

Shelby's idea
"Mommy guess what we should start doing.
We should stop frowing recycle stuff away because you know why?
I saw a commercial, and they were making craft stuff with their recycle things like wind charms and birdie feeder things and stuff like that with the recycle stuff.
So we should start doing that and have fun. Does that sound cool?
We should tell Daddy, ask him, "Will you please stop frowing away the recycle stuff because we can make bird feeders and wind charms and stuff." ...or somethin. Is that ok?"

Wedding day
Pics from me, Lacey, and/or Beth
We were very lucky to have one of the BEST in DFW hair/makeup artists come up to the mountain to make us pretty!
Thank you Erin!!!

The first of many shitty pictures of me that day:

The bride:

Fast forward.......
First dance:

Daddy daughter dance:

Jeff and me:

Mommy and Daddy:

It was REALLY hot in the reception hall. The next day we found out they had overloaded the system and the heat came on or something like that. Everyone was a sweaty mess. I had to make Buddy cooler:

Me and Dad:

Lace and Beth:

Luke and his little bro Gabe:

Gabe, Beth, Luke:

Beth and Tyty....future Sister in Law??? ;) heehee

The END of the night. I was off putting Buddy to bed and Shelby in the car at this point I think.
Dad, Lacey, Mom, Ty, Beth:

Is a wedding complete without someone passed out on a couch in the hall??? Didn't think so. :)
