Christmas card
Here's a Christmas card I made about our family last year. I never got around to sending it out, though! :(

Change of Address cards
My in-laws moved and asked me to make some "We've moved!" cards for them. Here's what I came up with (in colors that match their new home!!) :

They will be ordered with return address labels that match the address portion of the card.

Baylor baby notecards
I designed these notecards (to be blank inside) for a new Mommy and Daddy who are quite the Baylor fans (and yes the baby is a fourth!!)

And I made this little notepad to go with them:

A baby shower invite
Here's a baby shower invitation that I created. My coworker Adrena is the mommy's sister and she requested pastel girl colors. They also wanted to honor the baby's late grandmother, whom the baby will be named after, while still keeping it understated and reverent. Here's what we came up with (the silhouette is the grandmother):

Meg's custom designs! :) A wedding shower invitation
Haha- I decided to post some of my creations. I made the button title at the top of this page, and had lots of fun doing it! What I'm posting are scaled down jpgs of the designs. The real thing is of course extremely crisp and clear in print!
Here's an invitation I created for a friend's bridal shower. She's into Shabby Chic and her wedding colors are pink & brown:

Just an update
I am halfway done with our last week of summer schedule. I'm going to miss being w/ my kids for 3 days/week all day, but I am going to love getting to pick them up earlier, and having more play time at night instead of rushing home, rushing through dinner, bathtime, and bedtime. Especially with Coleman, who has zonked out at 7pm the past few nights.
I wish I could remember all the great things that Shelby says and does right now- she is so sweet and SO smart. Yesterday Nonnie let her help flip the pancakes they were making, then Shelby climbed down off her stepstool and hugged Nonnie's legs and said, "I'm so proud of you NOnnie." So sweet! The day before that, I dropped something and she happily exclaimed, "Oopsie Daisies!" Jeff and I just burst out in laughter- again, so cute! She is really fighting sleeping in her bed lately. She wants to sleep "in Mommy's bed" and of course deep down I love it. If I forget about how we're possibly creating a bad habit, and all that stuff, I genuinely love having her next to me and cuddling. And when we get too uncomfortable, we can just carry her to her room, sound asleep. Of course if it's like this morning, we'll wake up around 4 and find that she's snuck back up between us without me even knowing- and I usually wake up for EVERY noise!

Quick update
It's almost time for me to leave work and run home to my babies but I wanted to do a quick update before I forget. Coleman started sitting up on his own last week. He still can't do it for long periods or if he doesn't "want" to, but he can do it! He also found his feet yesterday. I have been waiting for him to grab those feet and realize that they are attached to him. He already grabs at anything and everything put in front of him but he hadn't gotten to the feet until yesterday. He was so cute last night, just holdin onto those feet like 2 little built-in toys. It will be no time before he's crawling around. Won't Shelby think it's so cool when he does that?!?! She still is just so in love with him and lights up when she sees him. "Bruddah's awake!!!" she exclaims so happily. I love my chitlins.

Giggle boy
We caught Coleman giggling on camera. I don't know if it's possible to watch and hear a baby's laugh without smiling! So priceless!

Mr. Cuddlebugs and Miss Bossypants
I keep forgetting to write on this space! Well, maybe not so much forgetting but not making time. Summer has been crazy busy. 10 hour work days are hard, but I love love LOVE my 3 straight days with 100% Shelby and Coleman time. I LOVE it! With 2-day weekends- it seems like it's just hard to get our groove down and as soon as we're settled and used to our routine, it's time to go back to work and daycare. Now with 3 days off there's less time between days that we get to be together. And more time together! Now, would I like to be a 100% stay at home mom? I'm sure I could do it but I definitely love my "me" time at work. I love that my kids are happy and thriving when they're with me and when they're not with me. I think we've got a great balance right now. And weeks like these help. This week I just had 3 days off, now I work 2, have 1 day off (4th of July) work 1 day, and then 3 more days off.
Coleman is so cute! He's smiley and sometimes giggly and he LOVEs to cuddle and be held. I don't remember Shelby ever being SO cuddly. He loves to snuggle up on your chest/shoulder when you hold him- he wraps his arm around your neck and just lays there in complete contentment. He's happy in mommy & daddy's arms, that's for sure!
Shelby is a little firecracker. She is Miss Bossy. This weekend at the family reunion in Grapevine there was another little cousin (her 3rd cousin) who was her same age and they were crawling around together in and out from under tables and chairs. Morgan decided to stop and Shelby wasn't ready to stop. She went to Morgan and said, "Would you crawl please?" Morgan didn't respond. "Please crawl with me," Shelby would repeat. Finally, Shelby screams, "Get down! NOW!" I guess we need to teach her that yelling and bossing really don't get you what you want. :)
